I fully welcome the findings of the report and am encouraged to see that Woking Borough Council has formally acknowledged its past shortcomings and issued a public apology. This is an important step forward in ensuring accountability and transparency within the local government.

The Council’s official statement and commitment to addressing the recommendations from the report can be found here: Council Apologises and Accepts Public Interest Report Recommendations.

I am currently in active discussions with the Council's leadership and the Government-appointed Commissioners to ensure that the necessary actions are taken promptly.
