Every resident of Woking deserves the right to travel with dignity, ease, and independence.
But for too many people in our community—those with mobility challenges, parents with prams, older residents, and others—our local railway stations remain inaccessible and unwelcoming.
While Woking’s main stations have reasonable access, our smaller stations—including Brookwood and Worplesdon—lack the essential facilities that make train travel possible for all. From steep staircases to the absence of step-free access, these barriers prevent too many people from using public transport, isolating them from work, education, healthcare, and social opportunities. .
This is unacceptable. Everyone, regardless of ability, should be able to use our rail network freely and safely.
